Symbolic Interaction: A New Publishing Partner

Symbolic Interaction

Beginning in 2012, Wiley-Blackwell will partner with the Society for the Study of Symbolic Interaction to publish its journal Symbolic Interaction.  As the main voice of the interactionist traditions in social science, Symbolic Interaction publishes articles which showcase empirical research and theoretical developments that resound throughout the fields of sociology, social psychology, communication, education, nursing, organizations, mass media, and others.

This new publishing partnership  will improve the author and reader experience by creating many new benefits including:

  • Early View: In 2012, Symbolic Interaction articles will appear online in advance of print.  These articles are citable and accessible to all.
  • A new Electronic Editorial Office (EEO): ScholarOne Manuscripts provides several forms of support for users including: configurable email reminders to inform users of various tasks/assignments, guides for authors, reviewers, and administrators, online tutorials, searchable FAQs, email /phone support, and a  reliable IT infrastructure.  Wherever authors are based, submitting to the journal will be easier than ever before.
  • Seamless Access to Online Content:  In 2012, Society for the Study of Symbolic Interaction members will have one-click access from the SSSI website to Symbolic Interaction online at Wiley Online Library
